Look what I found for Sale at the BG swapmeet!!

I found something interesting for sale at the BG swap meet. A used TA aluminum block. The owner told me he was tired of doing R&D for TA and just wanted out.

I do not know all of it, but- I know most of the story. I have talked to Mike at T/A about this and Pat who owns the block. I met Pat at Norwalk during the Buick Event in early May- very nice guy.He had the block there and it was assembled, out of his car and he had taken the Champion heads off. Pat was one of the 1st to have the block and assembled it himself. He had it running, but not down the track. He had some concerns with it and deceided to pull it before anything serious happened. Mike was a Norwalk and he did talk with Pat about his concerns. Well, thats where the train went off the tracks. Without knowing all the details - there was and remains differences of opinions where they could not bridge the gap. Am I concerned- of course, I have the T/A motor with the T/A heads coming this week. But- I have talked to Mike alot over the past two years and Pat quite abit since the Norwalk Event. Both are intelligent,capable and well respected guys who know which end is up. Its only my opinion that if their differences would have been handled differently - that block would not have been up for sale at Bowling Green. Its truly unfortunate for all of us. Our Buick Community is small and it would have been nice to see this first running T/A block on the East coast get off to a better start. I hope and believe Pat will keep it and get it running to his satisfaction. Larry

How Much did he want for it.

$3500 I was told. For just the block and he had the J&E for it for sale also for $600 it was on a piece of paper on the block. But the owner wasn't there when I talked to the person who was there.
