To have a play like that and score the TD and MISS the PAT!! Damn, talk about a letdown. That was probably the best play I've seen all year. John Karney better have a few of these :beerglass :beerglass :beerglass !!!

Unbelievable!! For those guys to give that kind of effort on that last play, and the kicker misses the PAT...........it's a wonder they didn't have a blanket party for that dude. :add_wegbr

I saw an interview of that dude after the game. He just looked down at the ground. He looked like he was about to cry. :fuercht:

That's why I wouldn't want that job. Your a hero if you make it or everyone hates you if you miss.

That doesnt make it any different then any other position, running back, quarterback, etc.
There are times where youc an prove your worth what they are paying you, but if you dont come through.... well, you'll have to suffer the consequences just like anyone else.
I really feel sorry for the guy tho, because for one, we dont know if it was the holder or him but I know who's taking the blame.
Two, if it had been a long ass field goal, you dont necessarily expect them to make it... but a PAT? Come on man!

:albert: Heh, yah that sucks. Of course, its still the same. Running backs dont get a pat on the back for NOT fumbling... but let them fumble once at an important part of the game and they sure hear about it ;)
Or long snappers, or....

It isn't like they would have gone far in the playoffs anyways. They ARE still the Saints after all. I feel bad for Carney though....he is one of the best kickers in the NFL....at leat til yesterday. :zahn:

After growing up in New Orleans and being a tried and true fan thru thick and thin, I have to say that was just par for the course..
After the long run and laterals, I turned to my wife and said, "he's gonna miss the extra point".. Not trying to jinx them, I just knew that's the Saints luck...
Oh well, there's always next year..!! :thrashi:

7 players touched that ball that was incredible, but man the point after was ................... pathetic. i guess his hold and he never quite got the handle on the snap, he always held it off the right and ever with the laces out (ace ventura style)
