First Supra bashing thread!!!

Just want to be the first to start the inevitable thread on Supra bashing.

Not talking about the Supras that actually run good but the ones that are built as 2Gay/2BiCurious Dyno queens.

Here is an example of what I am talking about.

Hey it was a nice car
In 1997.
To each his own, but even 802 RWHP doesn't mean someone can drive it on the track to 9's.
I wish I had the money to build it (but spend it on the WE$ so it could be a WE$$$$$

I dont think it looks that bad. At least they didnt go nuts with graphics, stickers and lights.

I agree putting that much money in it and not taking it to the track, but taking it to a dyno is pretty dumb.

Hell my car could probably hang with it in the quarter since he will be all over the place for the first 300 feet

I am pretty sure he meant a real Supra, and not the riced out Supras. He probably didn't realize you were only bashing the crappy ones. Shouldn't name the thread Supra bashing, since it's only bashing ricers.

Actually it is the person who dumps tons of money into it in all the wrong areas such as appearance and engine mods that the car can't use.

The problem is that there are more 800HP Supras that support that than discredit it which says alot about the owners (no offense ekool). The other thing I noticed is that 9 out of 10 supra owners will tell you what there dyno numbers are before they will tell you their 1/4 mile times if they even know.

That's what I meant too. A lot of kids at my high school say to me, " OMG D00DZRZ I GOT INTAKE ON CAR, MY CAR IS FASTER THAN YOURS." or " OMG0RZ I AM GOING TO PUT TWIN TURBO STICKER ON MY DODGE STEALTH!!1/111!"

John, just come back to the darkside and build yourself a stage 2 or TA blocked car and you can get away from the schmuck crowd and still be able to put down good numbers with ease. :D

I have only ran one Supra (MkIV) and it was from a roll and I pulled about 3 lengths on it before we both got spooled up. He was definately reeling me in and was about 1 car back when we let out at around 85-90 due to traffic up ahead. I was pretty impressed with both of us and later learned he was nearly stock with only exhaust and had run a best of 12.77@114. Really nice car and the owner was really cool too, why can't the rest be that way?

BTW, white with gold rims in Tucson.

The Supra was the first car I ever wanted to get. I remember the Supras used to be at a pretty good price before that horrible movie Fast and The Furious came out.

At least it doesn't have a funky paint job. It could be alot worse. The owner obviously built the car for bragging rights, not actual use. What ever floats your boat, I guess.
