Well I finally got some shakedown runs on the car and spent the day chasing boost problems associated with the WG and innovative boost controller. I went 10.06 with 20 degrees timing, a 5 psi launch and 21 psi boost. Finally figured out that I can't just disconnect the BOV and went out to make another pass. 10 psi launch, wheels up, 28 psi, everything working right and the timing lights were f#$%ed up! It was the last run of the day and I couldn't make another pass. It was definitely a 9 something pass anywhere from 9.50 to 9.80 on the FAST. Depending on how far I went past the finish line before lifting. I definitely know where I left the line as there is a blip on the TPS log.

It's coming around but I have a long way to go before I'm anywhere near competitive for BG. I'm not going to make the same mistakes I made with my TSS car and break everything trying to make the race. I will be there and it runs what it runs.

Anyway on to the questions. FIrst can someone tell me what WG I have? I believe it is a Thail (SP) or a HKS.

Second. I'm not getting real good control out of the boost controller at lower boost levels. I need to find out what spring I have in there and may have to change it around. I have the boost controller set at 10 psi and when it gets rolling it zips right past the 10 psi mark. For now a 10 psi launch put the tires about a foot in the air which is perfect so I would like to keep it around there.

I know some guys are running CO2 in place of manifold pressure but I would rather not do that. I've also heard of some Mustang guys who are using a BOV on the starting line to control launch boost while keeping the WG closed. Anyone try this? Supoosedly it helps spool up.

I'm going to play with the 2-step and spooling today. The spoolup was slow and I'm going to play with timing and fuel to see if I can improve things. Any suggestions? I'm going to datalog a few TB runs and see hwo long it takes to get to 5 psi.
