I've recently installed S-10 wheel cylinders and long brake shoes. Upside - my car will hold 12 psi of boost using the foot brake. Downside - the rear brakes grab, easily lock up, and vibrate when coming to a stop from 50 mph. My question is this normal for this conversion or did I screw something up? :albert: e.

you need an adjustable proportioning valve so that you can set it up for track use or street use. crank up the rears for track, balance it for street, blah blah.

Can you give me a part # for the proportioning valve? Or can I order an adj. valve from Summit? What about the installation, do I remove the factory valve or place the new one inline? So many questions, so little time. :anbet:

I put the s-10 cylinders in mine and I haven't noticed any problems. At first they seemed a bit touchy but after a day of driving they seemed to set in.

Sounds like you have adjusted the brakes to tight. Lift rear and turn wheels there should be a little drag on them that is it.
As far as a vibration when stopping, try slowing down with just the e-brake, if the vibration is still there, try turning the drums. If vibration is only when braking with pedal it sounds like the front rotors out of round. :racer:

Thanks! Guys,
NJTurbo I'll start with your suggestions. If they don't work, I'll install the adj. proportioning valve. :arco:
