what size front speakers?

The speakers up by the windshield are crackling and making noise. I figure their blown being as they are the stock speakers. What size are they? I have cs II. I think its 3 1/2 but i want to be sure before I go buy some. TIA

3 1/2 - yes but make sure you get a speaker that is level across the flange. I it has a tweeter and it sticks up alot, the top grill piece won't go on flat.

I like Pioneer's, and you can mount the speakers UNDER the deck.. (screw > deck > speaker) to reduce the overall height. (THere's a thread on the boring boarx somewhere about that)

i have them and they are too tall.. i just spaced the grille up.. but i think im gonna go outside and moutn them below :)

what exactly do i have to do to get them to fit? I'm not that great with stero stuff. TIA

I bought Kicker K-35's. Other than cutting
off the factory connectors for crimp connectors,
They mounted in with no problems. They sound
great for 3 1/2's.

i never did it.. took the top piece off and saw it wasnt going to be easy so i said **** it.. you might have more drive than i do.. i think i'm just going to go to the u pull it and find any color dash piece.. paint it black and cover it with speaker fabric.. cut circles out above the speakers and you wont even be able to tell
