I got my car to a drivable state again and have been driving it around some, I have noticed I am getting some slippage whenever I get on it, and have noticed slippage when it shifts 2-3 I was wondering if my TV cable adjustment could cause this, because I am not really sure if it was set properly, or if I am going to need to rebuild the transmission? When I set my TV cable all I did was push in the brass "D" shaped peice, move the throttle plate to WOT released the brass peice and let go of the plate. I dont know much about the transmission in the car but I would like to think that its in good shape, the fluid is red but smell slightly burnt but not that bad, I have smeeled worse in better performing tranny's.
