I sent my turbo (te 60) to Limit engineering for a rework (seals, bearings etc...) and decided to modernize it while it was there (made a post a month ago about this).
Got it back today and it is beautiful...I can only hope it works as good as it looks! It also ended up costing LESS than they originally quoted and they actually did MORE than we originally spoke about - how often does that happen?

Chopper classified it as a GT61 P3 (stage 3) ...it has the 61mm GT wheel.

Here's a few pics for all to see. Unfortunately, it might be a bit before I get the car on the road again...I'll report back then.

same turbo as the PT61 from Precision...it's a very good turbo...guys have run low 11's on it with very low 20's boost on ported and polished heads and cam...plus it spools like mad

Turbo looks very good, I have always had top notch work from Limit Engineering. They go the extra mile to it right. :elefant:

Can anyone give me the phone or e-mail. To get information on that turbo.
Would greatly appreciate it. As I have a preision convertor. And an Eric
Trans going into my Limited 87. Sounds like what I'm looking for.
TIA............Rob

Nice puffer! Did you get the ball bearing option? I'm excited to hear how these new GT models perform compared to their TA/TE counterparts!

I had 3K RPM 10.5" converter and it was a little lazy. I now have a 3500 RPM 9x11. Actually I requested a 3500 but the box said 3400 so I'm not sure what I've got. Whatever it is, it puts the PT-61 right in its sweet spot.

Thanks. I am looking at this turbo. It looks like a re-stall is in the works for me. The convertor is a 9X11, but stall speed is only 2800. When I get the car out of storage, I'll see where it flashes and go from there. Either way, I don't think it'll be enough.

Steve.

I had a PTE 52 with the same convertor/stall that you have and when I installed a PT61, the great spooling ability left with the 52. After a couple of interim steps, I ended up with a 3600 stall, 9/11 unit on advice from Chris. It spools instantly now and I pleased with that stall speed for street driving and it also leaves option open to go to a 45a or a PT67 without having to go through another T/C mod.

What A/R is the exhaust housing on this turbo? Garrett .63 or Precision .63 or?? What exhaust wheel is in it?

Looks like a P Trim Precision housing. I can not tell you the A/R though.

The exhaust housing is a .63 - not sure whos - but Limit did say it was an older PTE turbo.
