Who's got one of the new High Def TVs? I want one of those plasma flat screens....oh yeah, the one I want is about $10,000! Don't think I'll be getting one any time soon, but man do those things have a great picture! I know the projection TV's are cheaper, but the picture doesn't look as good.

I would get the new samsung DLP's, they blow plazma away, and last about 50 years longer :)
Plazmas just do not last very long, and with the newer tech out, they arent the best looking anymore either.

they dont make them in 27 inch.
They start at 43 and cost 3500 :(
Granted they are alot of money, but they are still new, they use a TI chip insead of lights, so im assuming the prices will drop in the future.

I have an RCA MM52110 -- which is a 52" Rear Projection HDTV/Monitor -- It has two SVGA inputs, one for HD receivers and one you could use a computer with (which I do) -- The picture quality is great. Unfortunately, the model has been discontinued and I havent done the research to see what they replaced it with, if at all.
It is a 4:3 aspect ratio HD TV, and I highly reccommend you STICK with a 4:3 since 99% of all content is still broadcast in that format. Perhaps 3 or 4 years down the road, 16:9 will be the normal thing but it isnt now.
So what you have to ask yourself is do you want to view MOST of the stuff thats on right now with pleasure, or suffer through MOST of the stuff to enjoy the widescreen stuff rarely.
I'm happy with my TV, and at the time I paid $1600 for it, comparable models now are in the $1200-$1300 range, which AFAIC, no one should be without a bigscreen unless you REALLY hardly ever watch TV. I hardly ever watch, and I still enjoy my big screen.

The thing that really sucks, is that the tech is changing it seems every day, new stuff coming out, and frankly i cant keep up with it all.

I was walking through the mall the other night while the old ball and chain was shopping and saw a Samsung TV. I thought it was plasma....anyway, it was the best picture I have ever seen. I stopped and watched about 20 minutes of Nemo! :popc1:

It might of been LCD, those are wayyyyy overpriced now, plus u get to deal with the dot issue, where a single dot dosnt light or something, it sticks out like a sore thumb!!
