I have a pair of 12" Phoenix Gold Xmaxs. These were a pretty hot set up when I bought them. Does Phoenix Gold still have a good name? I have been thinking of abouy putting them in the back of the Suburban. But I haven't conveinced my wife that its is a good idea yet. She seems to think that the stroller is more important. :zahn: It's funny how things change though. She was the one that blew the 3 JL 10w1's that the replaced.

I believe they have been bought up along with ADS, Orion, and many of the other old school audio brands...

I just looked up their website and they are still in business. They had a list of local dealers. I will have give one of them a call. I found a couple of pictures of them online. They have carbon fiber cones and handle 600 watts rms, 1200 watts peak.

If you want to save room and still ahve some bang - only use one. 2 usually aren't much louder than one.

I need to use both. My amp gains more power the when the ohms get lower. I will gain 100 watts by going to 2 ohm. The amp will go down to .5 ohm.

Phoenix Gold still has a very good name. I have a Tantrum series DVC 12" that hits hard. They are kinda spendy speakers. Never heard of the Xmax though.
