I got the elbow off my GN because of the engine swap. IS there any port I can do this stock exhaust elbow? It looks like there is not much I can do here. Am I wrong?

you can definetly port em and install a larger puck. Mine is and it helped a lot

Ok, thank you.

Where do I port? Mine is very open. I should attach a picture.

On the carbed turbo I had, I ported the waste gate area & also made the waste gate hole just a tad smaller then the puck. (I lost a race because it over boosted (boost creep) on me and I was not going to let that happen again).

But this elbow is all smooth it doesn't look like I can improve on it.

On the surface that mates to the turbo there should be a lip on the opening. If its not there someone has ported the elbow.

Remove that lip, you can raise the ceiling a little, and do a lot of work on the short side radius. Thats where the most can be gained. You will be surprised at how much material you can remove

It's possible that yours could have already been ported if you're saying it's smooth on the inside. There is quite a bit of material that can be removed that is for sure! If you want to save yourself a lot of time now and in the future, just buy the THDP/ATR/Mease if you can find one etc since you'll most likely end up there :)

The only lip I see , Is there is a slight one on the out to the down pipe , That's it.

How about the short side radius? Can you feel any restrictions to air flow that could be removed?

Oh , yea , that what I suppose to do. Maybe tomorrow I'll bring the elbow into work and shot a Picture.

Yeah, if you take a look in the upper right hand corner of this pic, you can see where I've been slowly working it over and getting it smooth. It's easy to do AFTER the new turbo is in, it normally leaves a bit of carbon on the elbow and acts as a guide for where to port. On the exhaust side of the elbow, stick a gasket in and use a Sharpie to draw a line so you have a guide to follow while you're at it. A little more flow never hurt anyone!

Ok , Now I have an idea of what to do.
