The race was a good time and I would like to thank the Chicagoland Buick club for being such good hosts. With that said the track surface was the worst I have ever seen with absolutely NO track prep after the 1/8 mile mark. It was just plain old asphalt and has never been prepped with any traction compound rubber etc. Add in a blistering sun and heat and it was difficult at best to keep these cars hooked down wiind making Ted A's performance even more impressive. I know we struggled with traction issues up track and tire problems the whole weekend and it cost us the race.
I would like to thank all the racers that showed up. We had a pretty decent turnout with a few new cars on the scene. Participation was better than Columbus but the field still seemed to be plagued with carnage and racers still trying to sort out their programs. I don't have the numbers yet but hope to sometime today and I will post them when I get them from Dave.
