AWWWSUMMM :applaus:

I think its got the 100 written on mine, but I cant seem to get it all together whereby it gets a great launch but no et, or I cant get it to hook all night, or.. always something .

Would be slick to do it on a bone stock IC :add_schac , Ya gave me something to shoot for :elefant:

Best I personally did is in my sig, but that was a very mild car as far as TR's go. My new hardtop '87 is bone stock down to the air cleaner......still haven't decided if I'm gonna mod it or not!

Bill Ragland's street car is in the LOW 10's with our alky I think.......he's gonna upgrade to the Superpump and go for the 9's this year.....

Would be cool to see a low 10 second 109 block on 93. There is a Stage car in Florida that run 10.6's on straight pump gas no alky, no water, nada on a mild tune. Its the old ATR car, so to pickup a few tenths, non issue. That car runs 9.30's at 147 on C16. And with 20K in the motor, C16 is cheap in "his" scheme of things :)

Denni Hogan from Washington runs high 10's on pump, but its a Stage motor as well.

Raw Performance, can you list your mods like heads/turbo/cam/etc.. to get ya there.. would be cool for those following to see how its done.

I didn't need heads to get there :lickit:

It won't take you long to get there.

I'll still be around. Just won't have the car. Think of me as a cheerleader now :elefant: :marchmell

Razor,

My engine was a fresh rebuild using all stock internals except for the camshaft which was a Comp Cams 206/206. The stock heads recieved a mild port job and Comp Cams 980 springs (?). Stock, not ported lower intake with Jay Jackson modded 62-65mm upper and throttle body. PT54 turbo, 50# MSD's, CAS V2, SMC alky (single nozzle), Translator with LS1 maf, Big Mouth CAI, Mease 3" dp with test pipe, 2 1/2" exhaust with Magna Flow mufflers, Stock suspension with ATR rear bar (front bar removed), Eaton posi, and MT ET Streets (26x10.50). Chip was burned by Joe Lubrant with 22 deg of timing, and boost was set at 25#'s using a BstC with a 6# footbrake launch.

Trans was rebuilt by Trans Service in Lynwood, WA with hd clutches, wide band, billet serrvo, 10 vane pump and some of his "magic". Converter was a 3500 stall nl 9/11.

I know Dennis Hogan (and the rest of the guys in WA) and his street car is truly amazing. He runs 10's through 3 mufflers! lol

I was very pleased with the SMC alky kit and the performance I gained from using it. Had I known about your kit, I may have tried it as well. I like the "progressive" feature you offer. Either way, alky is the way to go imo....what a difference going from 16#'s to 25#'s of boost and not worry about fouling your o2 sensor, or paying $8 a gallon for C16.

Thats tremendous performance on 25 PSI boost. I know my own car at 30 was no where near that on the stock heads and stuff, now its a different story. Congrats on the setup..truly amazing. Most guys running 22 degree chips dont produce those gains.

Simple basic.. love it.

Lets see a 10.79 this year :)

This thread sucks, it is like asking what the fastest stock block will do on pump gas. I know you need to fuel your fire for running on pump gas but you left the window open and there are no rules involved (sounds like a racing class). With only a 93 octane and 109 block limit there are so many possibilities that there is no fair racing there. Limit it to a stock intercooler and turbo and it would get fun fast.

I'm half way there.. I have a stock IC

I may throw the stock turbo back on and pull its hose off and see what it does :add_schac

Plus you have to have class to be in a class :albert:

Just baselined the car today and think I'll get the progressive alky next. Haven't bought any C16 yet, so I'm still money ahead and can put that towards an alky kit.

Ran 7.52 @ 89.2 on 18 psi, Pump Gas, TT 93 chip, through the exhaust :beerglass

I went 11.07 @ 123.53mph w/1.66 60ft. on Amoco 93-octane & NO additives last November.

You guys have got to be kidding me. How exactly would you tune the car to run that fast on 93? Maybe I'm a little slow. but, I can turn the boost up or down.. and turn the fp up or down. What else is there?

damn!

I went 125 racing a crotch rocket. This was on 92 octane gas in New York. Pretty stock setup, even the turbo was stock.

Had a passenger too!!

Well, I went 140 on 92 octane passing a Semi, probably only took about 1/4 mile but I had a 75mph rolling start :arco:

At 18psi of boost and NO alky, No mix on pure 93 octane from Amoco i ran 11.79 at 120mph lat tuesday. That is with a 2.2 60ft time on BFG drag radials. If i could of cut a better 60ft, it would of ran a mid to low 11s on pump gas. Plus i couldn't build any boost off the line. That was with a 2500rpm launch. Couldn't go no higher because the car started to move foward at line. I just put a set of new rear brakes, wheel cylinders and new drums. The brakes feel thousand times better. Can't wait to go in full race setup with some C-16 race fuel. Time to turn the wick up.

Look at the selection of parts.. your not going to do it unless you work on the airflow through the motor.

Example.. there is nobody on the planet that can run a small shaft turbo, stock IC, stock heads, full weight BUICK,..and yes a stock cam and run 11.0's at 18 PSI boost. The guys running 11's on low boost are able to do so becuase they drop a bunch of $$$$ into the motor. Look at the turbo's being used.. IC, heads, cams(roller), converters, weight of vehicles, etc.. So the anti-alky propaganda..

No majic.. its only majic to be able and accomplish a lot with very little. So Vsicks ran 10.7's on 92 by itself..ohh wait..he put an alky kit and ran 10.1's on 92.. See the point... taking nothing from those that have spent the $$$ to make the cars fast.. after all.. how fast you want to go?? $$$ is the answer.

On a budget..ie.. stock heads, cam, IC.. bang per buck..

I posted the above in April. I added the progressive kit, and ran 24 psi on a TA 61 in the eighth tonight. Ran 7.03 @ 96.7, 1.54 60ft
