Hi everyone,
For now it looks like I’m going to go with Jays chips with the variable timing, One for the street & one for when I get to the track and load it up with race fuel.
But that’s for now. But I was thinking of the future about going to a FAST system. So I can just download a program and do what I want, drive around town or a 1/4mile pass.
Can the Fast system be programmed to pass emissions? , Because my car will be on the street that is something I have to be a where of every other year.

Should be able to. Mine passed the roller test here in ga with 95# injs, no egr, 3" cat bolted in, and a full exhaust system....
I use the FAST system, and just re-write the program for emission testing, the re-load the "regular" program when I get off the rollers...

You need to investigate your emission laws closely. Some cities/states require testing the EGR valve's operation.
It's just as easy to keep the computers plug and play, just use an adapter harness.
Stock ecms have run in the 9s, so I fail to see what you'll get with a FAST, unless your aiming for faster then that. If it's real time programming that's your thing might investigate Prominator, and AutoProm.

This brings up a question I have regarding the variable timing chip. Just installed one last week in my 87T and this chip works. Faster than the JC 93 that was previously in the car. My 255/60s now are inadequate. Told Jay I was using 93 octane with 10% xylene when ordereing the chip. Have been at 18 lbs boost with ta49 but now find no longer need xylene with new chip. My question is how much can this chip vary timing and can the timing be near say a 100 octane chip ?
