Last I heard from Mike at T/A was 3 weeks ago. He called indicating my Long block was done except for the pickup tube and putting on a new front cover. He said the one I had sent him was out of tolerance at the inside diameter which accomodates the oil pump shaft. I am on the verge of calling,but- I have waited so long - I am kind of out of gas with it. I do not understand what could be holding it up now. :rolleyes1 I was also expecting photos from Mike that I was to post here. I dono--- Larry

It could be worse Larry, your block could be at Mease's :arco:
Seriously it takes guys like you with patience to try new things out so our little hobby can move forward. Thanks for sticking with it, I hope it pays off in the long run.

I know I would like to run one, but the cash flow is not at the level that I would like. I think that in 5 years, I will have one. That way the production will have stepped up, the after market will have moved in, and there will be plenty of 1000HP TRs out there. :)

Gene Bruno is having fun running easy 9s all day with his Duttweiler
built TA motor with TA Heads. The car is in SO. California and is run on
a very easy tune up. It made almost 1200 HP.on the engine dyno. :deal:

I suppose that 1200 was also on "an easy tuneup"???

Kenny does not know the meaning of a "soft tune". I think he produced 1160 hp at about 30lbs. of boost. I was at Kenny's about two months ago and they were doing the wiring in the engine compartment. As usual the attention to detail is second to none.

30 psi with low timing the Kenny like is an easier tune up.
He is running less boost than that wen racing the car.
I spoke to kenny about how he detunned the MoTec.
The Gallina's would be an example of Kenny's On Kill
Tune Up! Their motor made 100 more hp than Gene's
with about 60 less ci.
