Any body have any experiance with Standard Coil pack and addapter for 85 setup?

You can put an 87 coil on top of a 84-85 module. You need an adaptor plate that you should be able to get from a local auto parts store.

And if you need the module you can buy the wiring adapter from Caspers to use the 86-87 coil/module. I use this setup for one of my Rivieras. Assuming you dont have any issues with your original than I dont see any advantage to upgrading as they both perform the same.

You don't have to buy the caspers wiring adaptor. You can switch the wires yourself. All but 3 wries get changed around. There is a tech article in gnttype.org. I know the site is down for now but it will be back up. I recently converted my coil module to 87 setup. However you do need a bracket and caspers sells them for $32 bucks.
