Do you guys realize that there were threads on both other brand x boards about how it was killing everybody that we couldn't get in here? You're using the same tactics as my wife: Find out how powerful you are by taking <something> away! :zahn:

Couldnt you just ssh in and restart? cd /etc/rc.d/init.d ./httpd restart|start|stop ?
Or you got that line locked down so no one outside can do this?

Dude, what in the hell are you talking about and why are you talking about it all over the place? You've made your mission statement about wanting to build up your post count, but this is just rediculous.

Bought a rail w/ 1980-81 Turbo V6 in it. I'm learning this beauty, but need advise. Any member issues since it's not in a TR?

Dude, this is site news/rules/updates, why do I keep coming to read the new posts here and find redidulous nonsensical post like the two previous? What's up with that?

Not long ago I was using a linux box as a NAT/Router/Firewall machine for my home network. It wasnt anything special.. a Celeron 500 I think with 128MB of RAM and dual NICs running Slackware 9.
Ive since abandoned that and bought a plain Linksys WRT54G wireless router and am using the hacked firmware from Sveasoft. The hacked firmware gives the WRT54G the basic same functionality of the linux machine I was using, just no services, which I really didnt use anyway.
John uses a linux box with dual NICs for his home network and runs Smoothwall, which is a free, linux based firewall/router package. I was just using the stock stuff configured to act as a router. Smoothwall is much easier to configure/upkeep.
The forums here run on Gentoo I think. I believe that's John's new linux flavor of the week.
