Here we go yall. I have been in contact with the folks that are gonna put on this shin-dig and they are more than willing to have us. AND, they are more than willing to work with us in regards to pitting together, AND, and this IS important I think, ANDDDDDD our BBQ ! . To the point that they are trying to get the track opened and running on Friday for a test and tune day before the Saturday event. I will attach the info thus far below for yall to look over with rules and such. The date is later in the year but is close to a split between, Morocco/Douglas and Noble Ok. Temps will be cooler, and the track is lower than Kearney. Meaning good air, and a good track. Distance will be farther for us out west, but yall to the east will maybe be a bit closer.

So here we go, just when I thought I was out, I decide to try something else. Welcome if you will to..................

OK boys and girls here we go. Motel information.

I have blocked 25 rooms for us at the Super 8 in Wichita. Instead of worrying about inspecting rooms and different places this year. I went with a different line of thinking............ Instead of what they have to offer in the way of perks, I wanted to know what they had to offer in way of PRICE !! Gas prices and all ya know ?? ANyways. Most of us have flopped at a Super 8 so we all know what to expect. It's about 10 minutes from the track, so it's close. Room rates are $42(regularly $65) plus tax per night. They have high speed net access available and the "a" typical continental breakfast. Coffee and tea all day. NO pool, sorry to the kiddie poos out there, this time is all about the racing. They will hold the rooms for me until the 26th. Anyone that hasn't called by then is gonna be on your own, and more than likely outa the rate deal. So GET YOUR CALLS INNNNNN ASAP if not sooner !!!!!!! Again, they are reserved in my name(Dave Burns) and you will just have to tell them(AND SAY THIS PLEASE !!!!) This is the keywords set up so the counter persons will understand. Tell them.............

"I'm coming with the Buicks and I need a room. They are reserved under Dave Burns name, and I need to change the name to mine" .

After that, you give up a credit card to reserve or whatever. Pretty much basic deal then on. The addy for the motel is.........

6075 N. Aircap drive
Wichita Ks. 67219
Phone: 316-744-2071

Directions for those that are coming is are pretty easy, Wichita ain't "that" big. Come in on I-135 and take exit 14. NOT hard at all. If yall need more info on how to get there, let me know.

Track addy is

1/2 mile W. of 61st N. & Ridge Road, Wichita Kansas
Phone: 316-729-4448

I will get more specific info on that. I just pulled this from the site.

Also, it has been brought up about have a Q&A session Friday night after the BBQ. I know there are alot of folks out there that would like to race but just aren't quite "ready" to go diving in head first. So, I am thinking about putting together a "lesson plan" of sorts for a short session on basic bracket racing. More targeted towards the new racers out there, but not limited to them. I will recruit someone to help with this. And maybe even the more experienced guys can pick up a trick or two. I may have a couple I could give away, but not all of them. Anywaysssssssss. Let me know what yall think about this idea. If there is even the most remote interest I will put something together. Not a long drawn out deal, just a little "show and tell" and field ANY questions that are out there. Remember, the only stupid question is the one not asked. This would be an apportunity to ask your questions, and get a straight forward answer. Just trying to do what I can to get some more Buicks on the track and racing. And remember, it isn't the fastest car that wins all the time. Ask Randy Messinger that..............High 13/low 14 second car.......3, countem', THREE, NHRA "wallys" to his credit. And proudly displayed in his trophy case. So speak up if there is some interest, and I will get ready.

Thats about it for now yall. As we go, more updates will follow. ANY questions, fire away and I will do the best I can to help out. Times getting short. Let's get ready to put "Buick assault mission 06' " in motion.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

OK everyone, here we go. The following is a list of our sponsors that have came onboard to help out with our BBQ in the pits on Friday. As in any situation like this, it is VERY important to Thank them, and use their services any chance we get !!!! To show them our appreciation for helping out. They are coming on to advertise themselves and their services to US. We need to understand that and return the favor if at all possible. There IS one exception on the list, and that would be me actually. I am listing myself here as my intention was to secure 10 sponsors for this deal. I have one more offered spot out pending acceptance. If I don't hear from them in the next 24 hours I will pay for it myself and finish up this part of the deal. We have the shirts and design work kinda on hold pending the decision of one spot, and I am outa time to get to print. Anyways, THESE are the folks that came onboard with us, the first time I asked, in NO particular order.......

High Torque Racing ...................
Ruge automotive.......................
Finish Line Motorsports...............
PAE Inc...................................
Poston Enterprises....................
Left Hand trailers......................
Heartland Transmissions.............
Buick Performance Group............
Lewis Auto Salvage, Topeka Ks...
Burns Motorsports(depending).............

As I do every year, and I will again this year in the pits, I'll ask of you all in attendance................ If you get a chance to work with ANY of these sponsors, DO IT !!! Get yourself a membership to our club, buy parts from the suppliers, buy a trailer from John, tranny from Scott, or paint from Mike. Yall get the idea, I could single them all out but I don't think I need to. THEY make this happen, and when yall are eatin' to goodies up in the pits via "Chef-boy-R-Dave" Falley, remember it's because of the sponsors.

Times getting close, let's have some fun !!!
