Call P&G Keene electric in Bridgeview IL. Ask for Cortez. They got me a chrome kit and regulator for my CS-144 for around $100. There an alternator rebuild shop, so whatever your needs, in sure they can acomadate.
Tell him Craig from Lorig sent ya :beerglass

If you don't go that route, and have some time on your hands, the alum. case will polish up just like chrome. You can throw in some new brushes while you have it apart and be done for a fraction of the cost..all it takes is time and a few arms :)

I'm a big fan of Poston's alternator cover. Even if you chrome an alternator it still looks funny, their cover is beyond that.

I just took my alt apart, painted the housing with a metallic gray paint (same as my valve covers) and put it back together. Other than the magnets (you'll see) its not too bad.

Here is a after and before look

Mark Hueffman's. Its actually too big for the stock throttle body but it looks awesome!
