I had my stock radiator recored, but it just looks ugly. I don't want to spend $500.00+ for a drop in. Anyone ever installed a universal radiator from Howe or Griffin? What mods can I expect to do?

Installed a griffen mods i recall was triming where the radiator cap goes and you have no internal trans or oil coolers. I ran an external trans cooler an no aoil cooler.

I already purchased a very large trans cooler. How about connecting the fan and any other connections?

I emailed this guy http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33602&item=2463145235
He makes these radiators. I don't have one but from the pics they look very nice.
He said he can make one to any specifications. I would imagine that means drop in/tranny/oil cooler.
I haven't had the extra money so I haven't pursued it at this point, but may be an option.

I went with a third gen f-body radiator from autozone. It was alittle over $100 and has a lifetime warrenty. Aluminium core with plastic tanks and it has a tranny cooler. It fits great with no mods. Seems to keep my car cool on a 100 degree day with the ac on.

How did you get the top plate of the Radiator to fit so snug. Mine fits like crap. Any Modifications.

Best dimensions for ours are 19" x 31"....right?
Core size is 26.38 by 18.63 or your right overall size is 31 by 19
hope this helps

No mods to top plate, I was really happy with fit, and my buddy bought the fans for his Mustang, but they wouldn't fit. I then lined them up on the GN, and it fit perfect.
