I'm talking with John, the administrator of Hot Teams, about the possibility of an all Buick Turbo Regal vs Mustang match at Firebird on April 2, 2004. Can we put together five buicks that will make it down the track?

Would this event welcome cars in the 12s, or is this more for the big boys?

Hot teams is a charity race set up by a local mopar guy. its set up as a heads race in a match style. the teams are made up of fo mo co, GM and mopar. the majority of the cars are 12/13 second cars...

there are some fast care on both sides. but the average car can play and do well in the format that john ( the man behind this) set up. for the most part if you ahve a 12 second car you will be lined up with an other 12 second ride. i have never seen a low ten second car line up with a 12 second ride. i have seen a 10 second ride line up wiht a low 11 second ride but mostly its perdy even.

you get points for the win. 60 and reaction time also.. its a perdy good format. i think the web site is www.outrunu.com check it out.

Oops..hold on a second. The April 2, 2004 Hot Team event is limited to five Buicks and five Fords. All slots are filled at this point. The club day event at Speedworld on March 28th., however, is open to all comers.

That's more like what I had expected......sounds like alot of fun even for a spectator, though!
