I have a reds XP pump in my car. It was in there when I bought the car and I was wondering what it compares to in the walbro line? 307 or 340or neither? I am more familiar w/the walbro pumps is why I use those as a comparision.

It is comparable to a 340, it is a very good pump. It may be a 340 I am not sure. It will take you to low 11's without any problems

I thought it was a modded 340, might be wrong.

The difference between a 307 and a 340 is that the 340 can pump higher pressures so a 307 is really only for N/A applications IMHO

The funny thing is the Reds pumps numbers are scrap off so it could be a just a 340m. I wonder what they are? I have two off them and wonder?

According to Red it is a modified 340 that should out flow the 340. Different pressure relief spring and some beefed up internals. I sure hope so because I just bought one from him for this very reason.

Well I hate to do this but I must wave the BS flag here. I know the engineer at Walbro and they DO NOT make any pump more powerfull than the 340, 340M (no longer made) 341 or 342. Red may punch down the bypass spring but anyone can do that. The 307 is also the same pump with a lighter bypass spring. Guys have punched down the spring in those and they flow like a 340. The new Walbro F20000169 is the replacement for the 340M, same specs.

I was kind of skeptical as well. I wanted the double pumper but got talked into the XP. They said it would support 700hp, which again I kind of find hard to believe. I have no idea until I put the pump in the car and see for myself.

If anyone want to send a Red pump my way let me know.
