TE45 or the 45a? one is 63mm and the other is 66, big difference. The 45a is good to about 10.5 or 10.6

well the 45a is a hell of a hairdryer!
it will make enuff power with the right parts to blow a 109 block clean in half
its good for well over 600 at the wheels
i have seen one go with 10.72 a 128 with a lot more left in it.

I ran one for about 1 year. Great turbo, wish i would have kept it. I went 10.50s with it at 27 psi. It still had some left in it. Im confident I could have gone 10.teens at 30-33 psi. But my cars a little different than most, as it will put down awesome 60fts on command at the right track. To get 600 hp to the wheels you would need over 30 psi out of it.Just my opinion.

The 45 is still a good turbo and it can run tens also, but it will max out around 10.7 or 10.8 usually.
Who did you buy it from? only the "a" models have the bigger wheel

I have the 45a and the PTE .63 a/r. I don't have any times yet cause the cars not finished but I love the turbo.

I dont know how the TE64-1 .85 PTE exhaust housing compares to a TE45 but best to date I have run 10.79 @ 125.1 and then a 10.81 @ 124.7. Both runs were at 23 psi and 60ft was 1.54 and 1.55.

Louie, what size injectors and what torque converter at what stall were you using with the 45a to get 10.50s.

11.6 @ 116 on 24psi, and that was with a stock long block, un-tuned.
I know there allot more left, but was told not to do it again until I get a roll bar installed :add_wegbr
I just got one from S&W and it will be installed very soon, then the boost will be going up, up up.

Not that mine would count since i'm a little lighter than most but 10.03@130 and 6.45@107 1/8 mi. It's time for a 76 GTQ!! :joint:
