Im lookin to put another tranny in my regal its got a 350 chevy motor and 3.73 posi rear. The problem is im runnin 3000 rpm at 60 mph which is hard on gas and i run outta motor quickly. If i run through the gears im doin bout 5000 rpm in drive before i know it and have to let off. right now my tranny is a th200 and i think its the same as a 200r4 but without the lockup. I know where i can get a th350 with a lockup converter or should i go all out and put a 700r4 in it? could you tranny guys please give me some input on these trannys? cuz im lost. thanks :anbet:

i would install a 2004r trans. you get the overdrive and you can put lock up on a switch and turn it on when driving on the hiway.

Is the 200 4r a 3 speed with a lockup converter or is it a 4 speed?

all 2004r trans are duel bolt pattern. they will fit chevy or bpo.

My tranny came from a olds delta 88 or sumthin of that matter but the mounting location is on the very back even with the end of the tail shaft is that normal? and my car has the crossmember for the 350 turbo and i cut and welded a piece of channel iron in it for my duel exhaust so if i could still use it, it would be great and my drive shaft will still work as well? thanks

summit racing is now selling crossmembers for g-bodys to put in all types of trannys. they even have the piece you can weld onto your car to extend the frame rail to move the crossmember back. also, all the crossmembers are made for dual exhaust. I think spohn or bmr has driveshafts already made and crossmembers too.
