Most interested in the jc variable timing chip.Wondering about the details setting up 3 bar map and t-link boost harness. Not much on electronics and dont have any scan tool or whatever setup on my car.I am running 18 lbs of boost with my ta 49 and 10% xylene. Never blown headgasket in 250,000 miles between 2 of them and use as daily drivers but do race occasionally.

You dont need a scan tool and there is no setup whatsoever. Just plug the harness in and run a vacum line to the new MAP sensor. Very easy. You also dont need Turbolink, just the boost sensing harness.

What are the timing options with this chip?

I dont really understand what youre asking. Basically it allows the timing to be controlled based on boost, load and RPM instead of load and RPM only. You can do some pretty interesting things with this setup but basically it allows you to run slightly more boost without sacrificing low end and mid range. Also has pretty good spool up because of the way things can be setup using this method.

So instead of being fixed like a standard chip the timing varies throughout the entire powerband using boost as another variable? Does this allow for increased timing, say from 0-15psi, where the engine might not knock like it would at 10psi?

Correct.. there are other uses as well.. Ive done a lot of spin offs using that boost sensing stuff but most of it isnt ready for prime time.

Jay is this one of your chips? If it is How much are you asking?

Fred, I have attempted to respond to your email however Earthlink's great spam defense has intercepted the email and I am unable to authenticate with their great system. Probably be better if you private message me here.

Fixed it. You should have email from me now.

I'll probably be talking to about this in a Month. I got a little over budget so far with this GN. But I might have well do the things I doing now while I’m swapping engines.

So far
TE44 turbo
J.C. Big intercooler
2.5" down pipe
HD 1979 block
TRW forged pistons
Balanced
Comp "206" cam
Fully ported & polished 8445 heads
Moroso ultra 40 plugs wires. (Least expensive on the list so far):)

CE Slapper bars
Trick rear springs (old Moroso).

And if I can fit it in there a Moroso Vacuum pump.
