As some of you know, on Thurday at BG I burned a head and head gasket. Problem found and now solved thanks to Lonnie at Extreme Automatics.

Recently I had my Accel Gen-VII ECU upgraded to the latest firmware and correspondingly changed to the latest software to control the unit. Turns out there was a new feature that I did not pay attention to. There is now a separate timing table and a separate Desired Air:Fuel ratio table utilized during 2-step and engine overrev rev-limiters. Those were left at deault values which meant the motor was too lean on the 2-step and had too much timing. Luckily the head wasn't hurt too bad (fixed now) and another head gasket is on its way.

My one full pass at BG, before the problem reared its head, was a 10.26/131.8 with 18psi. My foot came off the throttle on the t-brake launch  and I held the throttle at an average of 70% in first and second gear. 100% throttle in third gear only. :D

Testing again this Friday night in preparation for that Buick Race Day thingie... Finally, I may be bringing a gun to the gun fight. :add_twink

The event name at Norwalk on Sunday is Buick Race Day, so yes, I will be there racing the car (and directing the TSM race) on Sunday. :sprite10:
