I was just wondering if running a 3" dpwith a 3.5" is worth it. Will I pick anything up with 3.5" exhaust or should I do 3.5" exhaust and dp? Or stick with a 3" single shot? I'm going to have a single shot made for the car and need to decide between 3 or 3.5". TIA

I'd agree. I don't see a time posted in your sig, but unless you're running in the 10s and want that extra ooomph, 3.5" is just more for the wow factor.

With a 45a you have a turbo that is capable of running your injectors static. Time to get some bigger squirters ASAP. I would worry about that before your exhaust. A new exhaust will just lean them even more. A set of 60's or 72's is in order I think

72's are already on their way also a double pumper. I'm not sure what the car runs right now being I'm still in the middle of finishing this current combo. I'm hoping for mid to low 10's when finished.

If the car is taking in good air ( heads, intake, intercooler,TB) would it be good to run a 3 1/2 exhaust :fragez:

3-1/2 seems a little bit overkill. Stick with 2-1/2 to 2-3/4, and just run an open dump pipe for racing.

Yeah a dump would be better than swapping the whole exhaust. You could get one of Mark Hueffman's electric exhaust cutouts.

For the cost of the cutout and a moderately priced 2 3/4 aluminized exhaust, you can get the ATR 3" Xflow system that will last forever and you can run through the exhaust at the track and not have to worry about the exh. killing your E.T.

I already have a dump. I've heard alot of good things about the 3" single shot and a guy I know just did a 3.5" single shot. So I'm trying to get an idea of where to go with this.

The 45A is capable of using a 3.5" DownPipe but it won't be a major improvement IMO. If you are are looking at only buying once and can afford the extra cash to go 3.5" over 3" then it may not be a bad idea but the money also could be spent in better places. As for the cat-back portion, stick with 3" and run a dump, the further back on the exhaust the smaller it needs to be as the exhaust gas cools and flows easier.

Long as you don't mind the noise, they are fine, but VERY loud. If you have a wife or kids that drive in the car with you, you may as well get a pair of ear plugs so you don't have to listen to the car or the wife that it is too loud :add_wegbr

I'm 22 with no kids I know of. As of now I'm running a open dump every day so noise isn't really an issue.
