my tr sputters at around 15lbs of boost I have played with the fuel pressure, changed chips, checked all connectors. When the car is cold is falls on its face when it hits 15lbs but when it is warm it is more of a flutter.
Thanks

Sure your double pumper isnt kicking in? Also watch your coolant temp on a scantool, not a gauge. You may have a bad temp sensor causing the ECM to add too much or too little fuel

I don't have a stock temp gauge hooked up. just a autometer.

Do you have a scantool?

I have a scanmaster and an otc2000 and no codes.

What's are you running as far as inj/chip etc..? Do you have access to a coil pack tester? If not, have you tryed to Ohm it out? Does it idle ok and it's only at WOT?

What I meant was check the temp reading on the scanmaster, thats what the ECM uses. When my sender went the ECM thought is was -39* out and it screwed everything up.

Usually when coil packs go bad its when the engine is hot not cold, due to the pack expanding and contacts breaking inside it.

When you say 'falls on its face' does it sputter and pop, or does it just have no balls? Sounds lean to me.

Try checking the coilpack, mine was doing the same thang at low boost, i replaced the coilpack and :elefant: it was fixed

Yea, if it is truely a bad Coilpack it could do this when both cold and hot. Which is why trouble shooting CP probs is sometimes such a PITA. It's a simple 10 min swap job and one of the quickest/easiest thing to rule out.

Verify the plug wires havent come off. I have those 10mm Magnecores and for some reason, once in awhile one will pop off the plug. Not all the way like hanging in the fenderwell, but off enough to give an easier electrical path under boost. Also check to make sure last time you changed the plugs you gapped them properly and didnt drop one accidentgly and the way it fell it closed the gap somewhat. Typically a miss thats worse cold and gets better warm is rich fuel or small plug gap related, but it can also be a wire popped off as dew can get under the plug boot and make it miss till its warm enough to dry out. Usually a small plug gap LIKES richer mixtures, but hey, its worth a look
