So it has come to my attention...there are 4 guys (that I am aware of) that built "Bamford-Killer" drivetrains this year. What is a "Bamford-Killer" drivetrain? The guys that go to their engine/tranmission builder and say "I want to beat Bamford in TSM - Cost is not an issue!" No, I am not naming names. :tuschel:
I am expecting to see things I have never seen before on a TSM car. Something tells me that Tech Inspection could be another, ahem, nightmare... :aasmiley162:

Bamford will be there. These rumors were started to mess with the competition and make them think they have a chance at the crown.

The tubular A arms with coil overs were the last thing on the list. The front end was aligned on Saturday it's ready to go. :rockwoot:

Glad to see you got it ready to go. Not very typical for you to get it together at the last minuit, but I know the issues you had to overcome. :sprite10:

i thought only FSA parts for front suspenion were allowed , as in no tubular arms :nixweiss:
* FSA front suspension components and mounting locations required w/any type stock location shocks
A factory stock appearing part is a GM part originally delivered on a 1981 to 1987 Buick Regal, GNX, Grand National, T-Type or Turbo Regal from Buick Motor Division and is externally stock in appearance. No external welding, cold weld epoxy, puttying, etc. may be do ne on any FSA part unless specifically stated

I guess aftermarket rear suspension parts are also illegal since they are not factory stock appearing. :aajack:

Here's the Rules on that:
· FSA front suspension components and mounting locations required w/any type stock location shocks.
· Factory stock rear suspension locations required w/any type stock location shocks.
· Any suspension stabilizer/reinforcement bars or traction enhancing devices are allowed. No ladder bars, wheelie bars, or coil over equipped rear suspensions.
FSA on the front suspension
Rear suspension must have stock mounting locations. Any aftermarket bars as long as they mount in stock locations.

I'm sure they'll be legal Jason, after all it doesn't say you "can't" run tubular arms...:aajack:

It is my understanding that Dave will not be the first one to be running tubular A-arms up front. No one protested them before. But now that they have been called into question, this can be voted on for next year's rules.
I can tell you this, there is something else out there that will probably cause a bigger stink this year!
BTW, Jason - you and the other TSM Point Series racers ARE the final say in what goes into our rules.

FSA means Factory Stock Appearing right?
So if it were protested it wouldn't matter until next year?
I heard about some sneaky stuff with another persons car that will cause a major stink....
Oh well, It doesn't matter.. I just want to race.

I thought there was a clause about safety related items being exempt?.
Being able to adjust the caster higher with the tubular uppers, IMO, is a safety item. At the speeds the cars are running having a car that is inherently more stable at speed, is a safety issue.

That is the way I understood it too. :nixweiss:
