Hey guys im new to doin the stand alone's and was wondering who is best to talk to for getting an understanding of setting up an XFi on a TR.
I have a base program and started the car on it today works pretty good but I am unsure about how to start working out some bugs that it has. The car "hunts " at idle, it is running 34deg and a VE of 40 and a AF of 15 even tho the AF table is set to 14.0. I moved the VE table from 35 up to 40 but it didn't seem to effect the AF that much do you normally have to move the VE quite a lot to get the AF to change much? By the way this is in closed loop not in open so the ecu is working with the WB.
But basically i just need to talk with someone that has some experience to get an understanding on how all this comes together in the software once i understand that i dont think i'll have much trouble getting it tuned :)

There are some great tuners on this board, maybe the "master" JayC :anbet: will chime in:anbet:

What vendor did you get it from? That is where I would start.

Check your IAC sensor numbers and raise your AFR to 12.5-12.8 for the idle.

The gentleman i purchased it from is on vacation for 2 wks and to be honest i just couldn't wait that long to try it out :)
I have a pretty good ability to tune with simple rpm/inj pules devices like the apex afc's but i just wanted some info from ppl who have used the xfi's before i start going in the wrong direction and find myself pulling my last hair out needlessly hehe..

We all have a different way to skin a cat. I like to set my O2 for closed loop around 1200 to 1500. I prefer setting up my idle around 11.50 to 12.50 af in neutral, when put into drive it usually jumps up to 13-13.5 AF and idles well. By raising the closed loop threshold above 1200, it tends to take the hunt out of the idle if you are unable to clear it up in closed loop.
