Is it ok to use the stock length lugs to mount draglites? When mounted they are almost flush with the wheel. The nuts and washers "seemed" to go on ok! thanks in advance!! kurt :thrashi:

At the track you have to run studs long enough that 1 or 2 threads (I can't remember which) have to stick through the lug nut...That may only be for wheels with slicks on them.

the lugs that are aftermarket like moroso will be plenty long but you have to have opened ended lug nuts so the tech can see inside the nut

Technically they don't have to stick out at all. They need to protrude into the lug nut a distance at least equal to the diameter of the stud. I got 3" GM studs and open-ended nuts just so there's no questions at tech inspection. Here's a pic:

You are probably the right one on this, but that's not the way I always heard it before...but I've never been to tech for it.

But if you'll check the rule book, you'll find out turbojimmy is correct. The engaged thread depth only has to at least equal the stud diameter.
Of course for the extra margin of safety, we all generally go further.
