If it's as new as you say..I would say it's a great price. I assume it's a 3" ATR DP? That's 450 alone. So you're getting a BB turbo for 1050? Yea..good deal. Would say that turbo is like 1500 alone I would think..never looked into the BBs, but I know they are a bunch. My t63e is a non BB, and it was a grand alone.

If I read that right, it's an on center turbo. You realize that it's going to probably be a 4 bolt housing, requiring a special header, etc. And with a 96 housing, you're going to need a LOT of stall to get its manners to be street friendly, or track for that matter.

Dave,
That is okay as i have ATR headers that are 4 bolt. I was a little concerned about the 96 housing myself. Can I switch it to .83 is it a big deal. :gruebel:

I'm no expert, but I don't know why you couldn't. Me, with that much turbo, I might be more inclined to try and match a converter to it and keep the housing that's there.

Dave I was thinking around 3600 stall. :joint:

That might do the trick, assuming it's an honest 3600. Might want to think in the area of 3800

Yes you can switch the housing to a .81 if you want. I would try it the way it is. As a matter of fact, Precision sells the .81 housing for it.
BB turbos spool much easier and that means it takes less stall speed on the converter to make it work. I found with an 80 BB that the turbo spooled right at the stall speed of the converter
Be prepared you will find that the BB turbos spool up so quick, you have to run much more fuel in the lower rpm ranges to keep up.
A 3800 stall Art Carr 9 inch works pretty well for strip use and it does not slip either. I have found that their stall numbers are off some but they do the trick.
Let us know how it works
