I have been chatting with Don about when would be good to meet. May seems too early (wet and cold) and October seems too late (cold). June is garduation party hell.....

Want to shoot for the middle of July?

PS - thanks Pat for pointing me here. I will see you Saturday.

July will be a heavy boating month, if I buy another one :deal:

I say May or August, but May screws Don. Bill are you going to Norwalk in May? I am thinking about going, depending on my wife's pregnency (due end of May)

End of July may work too

Bob, I will most likely go to Norwalk again this year. Had a lot of fun last year. I met two 'celebrities' -- father and son team featured in the ATR catalogue........hey....my life is boring what can I say????

August will work too but I was thinking of the heat and humidity factor.

I will let the masses decide.

Hopefully I can make it to Norwalk as well...but I definitely won't be taking the GN...I haven't ever been to the Nats either so maybe I can try and make that as well...

If my wife could just get this baby thing resolved...

Still thinking July would be good. May can be cold and wet..... June is graduation party hell...

So, if July is good for people let's decide on a weekend and a second as a 'rain date'.

10, 17, 24, 31??????

Would be cool to pick two that are back to back so it is easy to remember.

Makes no difference to me so let' hear from those who want to attend.

The 10th is the day before my anniversary, so that wont work too well. Any weekend after that is fine

Don have you started any work on your car yet?

YES it's finally getting warmer...so I don't have to run the furnace in the garage as much (it costs an arm and a leg to run a heated garage all the time!)

so far I have the block all prepped for new headgaskets...if you haven't already noticed, I am going back to a mild setup this year because there's no way in hell I can afford a major rebuild...I will be going with a TA-49 turbo with 60 lb injectors and the motor is going to be untouched still with just valve springs...stock heads too...oh and lots of chrome under the hood :zahn:

the car should be done by middle next month, i ordered all the gaskets i need yesterday so i will start putting everything back together this weekend...

Why did you swap the 44 for a 49? They are pretty much the same. Did you want it stock appearing?

Renthorin

How about July 24th?

Do we want to do a rian date the following weekend (31) or just stick with 24th and take our chances?

Let me know so I can lay claim to the parking lot :-)

you are correct sir...

well I sold the TE-44 and 50's a few months ago thinking I was gonna go huge with a rebuild...not the case anymore...so I figured while I had to rebuy some stuff...I might as well go major stealth approach this year and make everything under the hood look stock...that includes hiding my alcohol injection lines!

I have reserved the parking lot for July 24th.

Let me know ASAP if something major is happening that weekend or else consider that the date :-)

HairDrier

Sounds good Bill. We can keep the 31st for a rain date.

Don you never seemed the type for stealth. I think the huge BUICK in the back window kills your stealth :add_wegbr

Bob, do you post on turbobuicks.com at all? I do not so if you do, can you start a thread over there?

I will begin to e-mail all the people from the last two years and anyone else that has ever expressed interest.

Too bad we are not big enough to warrant door prizes from vendors!!! :-)

HairDrier

No, I havent posted over there in months. I think Don still does though. I will break my vow and put a post up there though

It is MOST public :-)

All are welcome.

Chelsea State Bank parking lot. Chelsea, MI. Exit 159 off of I-94.

Here is a pict of the lot. Top picture on the page...

As the date draws closer and I have a firm list of who is attending I will e-mail all and give specific directions.

We will meet at noon and stay until whenever.

I will have pizza and pop again as that seemed to go over well.

sorry I haven't responded earlier...my cable internet went out for a week...comcast sucks and I am getting DSL

yeah it doesn't really matter...the turbo will only be on here a year anyways...I'm getting a TA-49 because I can easily bolt a wastegate without modification on and also the turbo shield fits better...I'm still hiding my alky lines...nobody will ever know!

btw I think the hood mounted fuel pressure gauge just gives my car away by itself...so it looks like I am SOL as far as the stealth approach...

BILL...is July 24th the set date then? that sounds a-ok with me...I don't know though this rear main seal is giving me a major problem...it may be months before I can get it out!!! :arco:
