I've got a V4 and want to know if anyone is running it with a set of front frame braces that you can get off Montes etc... I had them on my 86GN and it was a good cheap improvement. Would like to get them for the limited as well. Going to add the GNX bushing and the missing lowers as well.

Drivers side fits fine. Passenger side you will need to beat the hell out of it to bend it around the V4.

Good to know, but that sucks. Since it's hollow, wont' bending it render it useless? How about heating it w/a torch and bending?? Easier and may preserve the strength?

You mean the underneath braces? hmm I have these and love them. Do they pose a problem with any other aftermarket IC's?

Those braces alone stopped my rear tires from rubbing on bumps

3 pound hammer and a big vise.

Not easy to bend or crush those things. :marchmell

That's exactly how I did it. Torch and a BFH. I am sure it still had most of its integrity left.

Very cool. I will order me a set and see how I make out.

I just bought some of these. Any pre-installment instructions?

No they are pretty easy, the toughest thing is getting the braces started in the front by yourself. I guess they could be a pain with a crooked car

I had these braces on and when I installed my CAS V4 they had to come out. Would love to get them back in.

My V4 has an adjustable scoop on it, not sure if it's a newer or older style scoop.

Rotate the brace so what was the front is now bolted to the crossmember and space it down about 1/4". This way there's minimal bending involved. HTH

Good idea, I'll give it a try, I should have them Monday or Tues.
