Say a certain Buick owner loses all his sets of keys for his car. What does this dumbass do since he cant even turn his steering wheel to finish doing his brakes. (I really feel sorry for this assclown)

What are his options? I want to, er, help out a friend, or something.

Well, if they are truely all lost, I think you may be able to go to the dealer w/your registration and show it to them to get a set, I dont know if that will work for older cars, I know it does on newer stuff. I heard there was something like only 10 or 15 different variations of keys used back then. If you can't do that, then have you ever pulled a steering wheel ? :)

What a dumbass :add_wegbr

A couple of years ago they told me they were about to stop carrying the keys for my 91 Camaro so I think our cars are outside of the "window".

So did you have your car towed to the locksmith?

hypothetically you could have all your buddies with GM's come over and try their keys, pretty good chance of finding one that will work and then just copy it. The wifes car with a replacement ignition lock will actually start with the door key.

Thats why there are 4 sets of keys for my car. :D

The set I carry, 2 sets hanging up in my bedroom, and my father has a set. If all of those get lost, I would seriously have an issue!

A GM dealer can only run the codes off the VIN for 1989 and newer. If you can get your ignition lock out of the column it should have the key code stamped on it. The door and trunk you will have to call the locksmith for. Make sure he only pulls one lock out to recode If he can cut an original key otherwise you might check to see if one of those universal locks sets they sell down at AutoZone will work. :albert:

How can you lose all of your keys? I think you've been cooking with aluminum pans too long. I'd go with your choice though, and get a locksmith to come take care of it for you and cut a few new keys...

Two words, "metal detector"! My friend did that with his house key, he dropped one of his spares and said screw it, I'll get it when the snow melts. Someone beat him to it! Gone was his stereo and TV :(

Hey my dumbass "buddy" found his keys! Actually his wife found them, they were hanging on a post in his garage about two feet from his car! What an assclown. Glad I am not that guy :dong:

Did she "put them away" for you? My wife does that. She finds a set of keys on the counter. Then she "puts them away". Then she "forgets where she put them away". I say keep your mitts off them if they're not yours! Do I sound hostile? Sounds like a Miller High Life commercial doesn't it?
