I will most likely go with a 400 trans. Car weighs 3450 with me in it. I will launch off a brake, Metco rear suspension with anti roll bar, similar to the Wolf Industries bar, Stock GN rear end gear ratio, spool with hardened axles. 28" tall tires. Motor will provide 800-850 HP. I am looking to run thru the traps at 7000 RPM. Would I use a stock 400 gear ratio? And what stall convertor would you run? Larry :fragez:

a stock ratio 400 will work fine but youd better be leaving hard.what is the rpm band of the cam and how much boost?if you overgear you will overpower the tires at go time slowing the car down.with that horsepower level i think you need a little more gear to run the numbers up top you are looking for.give me the whole combination for my reccomended transmission and final drive ratio to give you the proper starting line ratio.
