So I finally made up my mind and bought a slightly used TA-49 from the local Buick guru. I'll be getting different injectors out of my dad's GN, but I just need to know if their is a minimum size I should run with the TA-49. I'd be getting a set 36lb. injectors. Thanks in advance for the input.

I run 42s with mine but I seen alot of combos running mid 11s with 36 pound blue tops.

Those are exactly what I'd be getting, so I needed to know if they'd be big enough for the turbo. The TA-49 came from a T-Type that ran mid-11's on it, but I think it had heavier injectors. Just don't want to end up with a bad combo and more tuning demons than I need!

Bluetops work well with a TA49, especially if they are free. I would however spend a little $ on getting them cleaned and flowed first and then get a good chip from someone. I like Bob Bailey's chips, you can get them from Mike Licht @ Full Throttle Speed, and Eric @ Turbo Tweak does nice chips also.

Also make sure you have a good fuel pump and hot wire kit to run those injecters.

My brother bought the car from the original owner, and he told me that it has a Walbro fuel pump. I'm not sure about the wire kit as I'd have to ask, but what problems would I have running a TA-49 w/ 36lb. blue tops without the wire kit?

You wont have any problems a hot wire kit just puts direct power to the fuel pump from the alternater and will get more volts directly to the pump. Not something you have to do, just helps.

I ran MSD50'S, A 340 pump and had Eric burn me a chip. Car was a blast on the street 11.80's at 118mph with a horrible 60 foot, stock heads and intake. :arco:
