What would the difference in street performance between the two turbos from traffic light to traffic light. Vehicle has a 3000 stall converter, 202 -202 cam, TH down pipe, ATR headers, Alky kit, 50lb injectors, upgraded fuel pump, etc.

I think they would both be alittle laggy with that stall.

What torque converter would be much suited for a te-61 or te-62 turbo for trafic light to trafic light performance?

I'd put at least a 3200 stall in it, unless you have ported heads...I have a 61 with about a 3000 stall and it's alittle laggy for my tastes...I had a 3400 stall in it and it was a ROCKET...The converter had to be rebuilt and I asked em to tighten it alittle, they went alittle farther then I wanted.

I've run both a 61 and 62. With the 61 the stock converter was OK, and with a 4.1L engine, was really nice, if you're into the BBB feel. With the 62 I stepped up to a 254mm Yank, 2,850 none boost stall converter, and it really woke things up with a 3.8L.

I have pocket ported heads, and I think the 62 would really wake up with even better heads, or more displacement.

For traffic light to light, the 61 with it's sligthly better low end, might be your best answer. Assuming both are well tuned/ optimized.

what does BBB feel mean? So with a stock engine with 3"thdp, atr headers, 50lbs injectors, and alky 3000 stall 12" converter th te-61 would be better from traffic light to traffic light. And the 62 is better for ported heads

With the 61, and stock heads, I was running 60's.
With alky, and 60s for the street, IMO, you'd be fine.

Big Block Buick.
That's what my experience has been.
