I need a turbo 'bulge' from a ruined or wrecked hood. As long as the 'bulge' and about 2" around it are in good shape. I sure hope I'm not inviting posts w/too much info on good 'bulge's. I don't want to buy a good hood (or pay for shipping on something that big) just the 'bulge'. Oh man it doesn't stop, I'm in trouble .

If you don't find one, maybe someone will "loan" you a complete hood to make a mold for a fiberglass replica hood bulge.

Just a thought

Hey Adam, I have a good but not really wanted or needed, 78-80 hood. The difference as far as the turbo "bubble" (less likely to get comments :arco: ) is that the bubble is wider than the later model hoods. Just let me know.

Got it handled guys. Thanks for all the help though. Now I just gotta find enough time to get this done by TT5.

Hey Adam,

Consider sticking it down with the new 3M body panel adhesive. That's how mine was done and it works great - no warping from weld heat.

Cool, thanks I'll give it a try. Any particular 3M part #? If it works well maybe I'll stick it to my aluminum hood instead of working on a steel hood.

Sorry for the delay, the part number is 08115 Panel Bonding Adhesive. It's a two-part cartridge that requires a special "caulk" type gun. Luckily, my friend that does bodywork was given the gun ($160) for a free trial because he does so much business with that distributor.
