What are the alcohol users running? Is a denatured/water mix better than straight denatured?

Well first the system listed in your sig may not be very happy with water added. So always consider system compatability before performing experiments :)
I find the most power and knock reduction using straight methanol alcohol. But there are cases where water may be more beneficial.
To run water the nozzles are typically smaller and pressures run are way higher to achieve correct atomization.
Some get great results on 50/50 mixes, 70/30 mixes, etc.. just depends. On your car at your performance level, probably straight will work best for you.

Thanks Razor. I am currently using straight denatured, but I have tried water combinations. How is the water harmful to the SMC kit?
The SMC pumps are not rated for water...altough in testing they hold up pretty well, as long as the Uplon lube is used and water is kept below 30%.
In long term testing, the only real corrosion was the interior of the outer steel casing. The actual pump rotor & pills, motor shaft & armature, and end caps were unnaffected. In testing we find that straight denatured or methanol gives best results, but every car is different.
For those wanting the best pump available, we soon will offer the "SuperPump". It is an external mount, 140 psi with a full stainless steel rebuildable pumphead with built in pressure adjustment. You could run battery acid through it if you wanted. The only problem is the price.....talk stainless to a pump company and they rub their greedy hands together and say..."oooooohhhhh...stainless, eh? GONNA COST YA!"
But if you want the best.......it's a $250 upgrade.
I run straight denatured. I tried mixing water of varying levels and couldn't keep the KR at 0. Call me super cautious but I like 0 KR the whole run.
You just have to experiment to what works the best.

Thanks Steve and Rob. I am currently running straight denatured but I may add some dry gas (methanol) to it.
That SuperPump sounds awesome. Would I still use the current tank or does another tank come with the new pump?

The Superpump is an external mount...we would remove your standard pump and put a feed tube in it's place.

I've been running 90/10 denatured to water with my SMC dual nozzle. Not a scientific measurement though, I just guess. Took a while to get it dialed in. I'll soon be looking into straight methanol for a little extra oomph and easier tuning.

My junk NOS nozzle setup runs good on 70% denatured and 30% distilled water
Steve will your 'super pumps' be available as a stand alone item? I may get one and switch to methanol
