Hoosier D.O.T. Drag Radial TiresGet your vehicle hooked up at the race track.
These Hoosier D.O.T. drag radial tires meet the Department of Transportation requirements for marking and performance only. They feature a special compound to provide good traction, making them perfect for classes that require a street-legal style tire. The D.O.T. drag radials are not intended for street use, or for use on public roads.
They look sweet. Anyone try them?

“The D.O.T. drag radials are not intended for street use, or for use on public roads”.
I’m assuming this is because they lack tire grooves? Yes they have them but very minimal.

I would just skip it and use the M/T radial.
Its already a proven commodity, why spend money elsewhere when you know they perform?

I had them and once heated they were very hard to turn them. They work very well.

At highways speed any problems with the backend of the car swaying around on you?
Radial tires don't squirm like bias ply tires do. Ive had MT drag radials over 140mph with no issues.

What kind of tires do you guy put up front? I know alot of people like to keep the same brand on all 4 corners for some reason...
I'm just curious what people do when they buy the various drag radials from BFG, Nitto, Hoosier, or M/T...what they match it up with up front. I was considering buying the Nittos but now I'm starting to lean towards the M/Ts...but I'm one of those people that like to have the same brand name on all 4 corners (it must be a compulsive disorder or something).

165-15 radials on 3.5" Draglites. Don't try hooking any turns hard though, or driving in the rain...
