5" dp's are allowed and so are distrubuters.........
It's "distributor" Mike ;)
Mike's quote apparently is directed at TSM. Please note however, that all class rules are posted at this site. Some allow the sewer pipe exhaust, some don't. Some allow distributors, some don't.

I heard it makes an extra 100 hp over the distributor set up.
The poor little 109's are going to blow with all of this new found HP.

no cnp ignition, but a distributor is ok because a 1983 turbo buick had one. maybe the penalty for running a distributor should be no intercooler like a 1983 buick.:asskickin better yet maybe i can put a regal emblem on my sled it has a five inch pipe on it:rockwoot:

There is no penalty imposed for running parts that meet the definition of what is allowed. As I have pointed out before, there is no rule against mixing and matching parts from various years...and no, intercoolers are not required.:as:

How about answering why CNP was outlawed?.
It was inferred in some off list conversations that it would be legal for at least the next year.
I guess, one way to stop anything new from being developed it just to ban it. BTW, what do you think the manufacturers will do when they can't sell anything *new* to the GN crowd?.

i guess bruce you pick a venue like
the popular quick street heads up
racing and leave the buick crowd in the dust.
its cheaper to go faster with less b.s.
as for the venders if things dont change
we will all suffer:mog: :mog:

It is not final. There is a link that 1FASTV6 posted on all the boards as to the dates of the major Buick venues. Possbbly going to be Bowling Green, Norwalk, Indy, Salem, Morocco and maybe a return to Vegas. :applaus:

Do we know any "for sure" TSM races? Looks like there will be at least one Buick event per month. What about Reynolds?

They are probably all "for sure", I just don't have the time to call everyone and confirm. Bowling Green, Indy and Salem, OH are definate without me having to make a call. I just won't say the others are 'final' as I haven't spoken with the event organizers for the other races to confirm that they ARE going to hold their event.
The Reynolds event is expected, but with that race being so late in the year, it's always difficult to say with certainty 11 months in advance.:nixweiss:
