I have had my 83 Regal Ltd. since January of 98. The car has had a lot done to it in all that time. 2001 the 3.8 finally died, so we put a 350 engine in it out of a 77 Olds Cutlass wagon. Installed a single intake/dual out flowmaster muffler, put in a new Kenwood AM/FM cassette player, added a set of old American outlaw IIs on it. In 2003 the car was stolen from the parking lot where I work (on the outskirts of the Ghetto), and recovered five days later with everything I mentioned above plus a whole lot of other things were removed from the car. Basically I got a shell back, with some minor body damage. It took over a year and a half to get the car road worthy again, but now the car has a 350 crate motor, a Turbo 350 transmission, a set of "winter" wheels that are 14" Buick five spoke Rally wheels with white lettered Tigerpaws. My "show" wheels are identical to the stolen ones, with American Pacers (with a set of custom bullet center hubs), a new Viper alarm system (that obviously wasn't on the car before the theft), with keyless entry. The radio has been replaced with a CD player instead of a cassette.
I had a fender blender in the car in September and found a 85 LTD for a parts car. We are replacing the front clip, and also using the pasenger side door and trunk lid (damaged in the theft), and a new white paint job. I have NO CLUE WHAT TO TELL FOLKS WHAT YEAR THE CAR IS NOW!!! Since there was a bit of rust under the Landau top, it is being removed and the rust repaired, and as soon as the body work is done, the car will be getting a new vinyl top. I am also looking for a Turbo hood and GN rear spoiler for the car. The plan is to give Mama Said a GN look. FOR ANYONE INTERESTED, THE LEFT FRONT FENDER IS FOR SALE, it was not damaged in the accident, and the whole fender is complete with headlights, bezels, side lites and bumper filler. The reason I kept my Regal after the theft was because it was rust free, this L fender is perfect with no rust. I WILL POST PICTURES AFTER THE REPAIRS ARE DONE!!!!
I have posted pics of the car just before the theft, a picture of it with the winter wheels, and a picture of it taken this past July, just after we replaced the show tires and wheels. Meet the former BuMobile now named Mama Said (the car got that name after the theft when I fought so hard to keep it, Mama Said the car STAYS):haha: :haha: :haha:
