Can someone explain to me the difference between the older back to bank verse the new XFI box.

Ok, I've written this out twice and twice I was booted offline... the last time, just as I was about to send my reply..... Grrrrrrrrrrrr. :tantrum2: So if I make this short, I think you will get the idea. The XFI does tons more than you can do with the old system, still using a very similar software and screens. If you are familiar with the old stuff, this will be a breeze. The main differances are we are now able to control many more areas, boost control, AC control, EGR control, transmission Lock up, as well as data recording abilities. The XFI is also able to be used on any vehicle, one part number fits all. Just need to have the correct harnesses. B2B, SEFI, individual cylinder controls, are built in from the beginning. The units can be set up to work on any application, V6, V8, etc.... DIS, distributer, etc..... to sum it up, for the price .... I don't see anything better out there.
hope that helps, if you need further info, feel free to call anytime, we are a stocking installation dealer for FAST.
Happy Holidays,

Jack,

If I am reading this right you do not need to run a boost controller as you can control boost levels through the XFI.

Actually, I can't say that the boost control function is an absolute replacement for a boost controller for all application at this time. I believe there may be some work to do in that area.

It has a usable boost controller built it but works like the factory one on a duty cycle control. It does not work like an innovative with feedback controls. So it wont adjust up or down according to target boost,It will just pulse a solenoid at a certain percent,
Hope this helps

Also anotehr great benift is the variable scaling of fuel an timing maps,Help to get a more precise tune in any certian area.

It has 4 auxilary ouputs for controlling things such as relays and shift lights.....etc

It has up to 5 bar capabilty for guys running over 30#s of boost

The abilty to add up to 8 analog sensors for watching and logging, IE....
fuel pressure,oil pressure,evap pressure,etc.......

Also a sequential reve limiter but this is only good for cars running Distributors.

Plus any update that come along hte way can be emailed to you and flashed into the ecu using your laptop,no sending back for uodates

Price varies, depending on what you will need in your kit. The base kit is going to come with the box, WBO2, comm cable, and software. We add in the jumper harness as needed, also an O2 bung, 3-5 bar MAP sensor, injectors, various other accessories available, also, oil and fuel pressure recording kit, a good starter program for whatever injector you may have and of course, support, the most important aspect.....
We also have good used FAST units in stock...... usually.
Call for pricing on new of used, I will be happy to help, I'm always in the shop or my son Brian is available.

Sorry, thought we were talking about XFI options. You sold me and my friends one of those POS EGT loggers years ago. That's why I am incorporating a new one INTO the XFI.

I didn't want to turn this into an info-mercial, but to get things back on topic...

We have been involved in the R&D of the XFI's from the start and are continuously trying to improve on this already great system. As a result Hartline Performance has the following XFI options:

Plug and Play Fuel/Oil logging harness exclusive to us
Custom Driveshaft Sensor Kit that only requires 2 holes be drilled
A Turbo Back-Pressure kit that can be mounted in the stock O2 location
Crankcase Vacuum Pump harness for customers with vacuum pumps
Distributor conversion plugs that allow the use of the stock crank sensor
Soon to be released EGT Logging Kit which you can add a turbo outlet temperature probe and a trans temp probe

Your turn Joe L
