Scan Master II problems

I have been having problems with my Scan Master II. I can not get it to stay on. I thought it was an issue with the engine not running for more than a couple of seconds, I have since fixed that problem. The problem with the Scan Master is still there. When I start the engine it stays on just long enough to display the "2.1" version level on the display, then it goes blank. Any help would be appriciated. Seems to loose power. The display seems to be very faint.

Must be your connections. Sounds like the ALDL connection is not in. Seems you have power just no connection to the computer. Happend to me before. I was under the dash and bumped it and it went out.
